The collision was reported around 1:00 a.m. on January 1 in the northbound lanes of U.S. 75 near Royal Lane.
Authorities said two vehicles were involved in the collision, and one of them overturned.
A child was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Another person was arrested at the scene.
