Cypress Two-Car Crash Kills Deshaun Thomas and Gloria Myers

Cypress, Texas (June 7, 2017) – Two people were killed, and one was injured Monday, May 30, in Cypress, according to a police report.
The accident took place at about 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest Freeway and Spring Cypress.
As per the report, a black Mercedes, driven by Jesse Myers, was traveling westbound in the 17800 block of Spring Cypress. At the same time, a blue Mazda 3, driven by Deshaun Thomas was driving inbound on the Northwest Freeway feeder road near Spring Cypress. Jesse was carrying a passenger identified as Gloria Myers.
Reportedly, Thomas ran a red light at the intersection, and his car struck the passenger’s side of Myers Mercedes.
Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gloria and Jesse were transported to Memorial Herman Cypress Hospital where Gloria was declared dead.
Jesse sustained minor injuries in the accident, deputies said.
The incident remained under investigation.
