Woman Dies in Katy Bicycle Crash on Elrod Road

Katy, Texas (October 30, 2018) – A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle that fled the scene after the incident early Tuesday morning in Katy, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened at about midnight in the 2300 block of Elrod Road near Capitol Landing Lane.
Deputies said a woman was riding her bicycle when she was rear-ended by a dark-colored Dodge Ram pickup truck. The driver of the Dodge reportedly fled the scene after the incident.
The victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at te scene.
The authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
