Officer Hospitalized after 2-Vehicle Crash on West Avenue in San Antonio

Officer Injured in San Antonio Crash at West Avenue and El Monte Drive
San Antonio, Texas (October 25, 2018) –  An officer was injured Thursday afternoon in a traffic accident in San Antonio, according to a local news source.
The accident took place at around 12:00 p.m. at the intersection of West Avenue and El Monte Drive.
According to police, a 22-year veteran of the San Antonio Police Department was traveling down West Avenue when a woman operating a small red car crashed into a police cruiser.
The officer was transported to a hospital with minor injuries and was expected to be okay. The other driver attempted to run, but police caught up to her. She was described as a woman in her 30s.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
