Margarita Vela Killed in Head-On Crash on Poteet Jourdanton Freeway in San Antonio
San Antonio, Texas (September 30, 2018) – The woman who was killed in a fatal head-on collision on Friday morning in San Antonio has been identified as Margarita Vela, 26.
According to the San Antonio Police, the accident happened in the 8900 block of Poteet Jourdanton Freeway just before 7 a.m. on Friday, September 28.
Police said Vela was driving southbound on the freeway when she crossed the over the median and collided head-on with a green Mercedes.
The debris from the crash flew and struck a third vehicle.
The paramedics responded to the incident and Vela was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mercedes driver sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a Brooke Army Medical Center.
The third driver was treated for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
