Man Dies in El Paso Car Crash on Gateway West

El Paso, Texas (April 7, 2019) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi early Friday morning in East El paso, according to police.
The incident happened at about 3:53 a.m. April 4, in the 10700 block of Gateway West between Lomaland Drive and N Yarbrough Drive.
Police said a man in his 20s was driving a car at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a semi truck.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.
The were no injuries reported.
The crash caused a closure iof  Gateway West between Lomaland Drive and N Yarbrough Drive as the scene was examined.
The collision is under investigation.
