Corpus Christi Man Killed in Robstown Car Crash on County Road 44
Robstown, Texas (July 14, 2019) – A Corpus Christi man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday morning near Robstown, according to the DPS.
The crash occurred at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13, on County Road 44, about three miles west of Robstown.
DPS said a 60-year-old Corpus Christi man was traveling westbound on CR 44 in a Chevrolet pickup truck when he tried to pass another pickup truck and collided with an oncoming Nissan SUV.
The driver of the pickup was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The 28-year-old Robstown woman driving the SUV was extricated from her vehicle and airlifted to Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline in Corpus Christi with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 3-year-old boy in the SUV was transported to Driscoll Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The DPS is conducting an investigation into the incident.
