Both deputies were taken to the hospital with serious injuries
Lubbock, TX. – Two deputies from the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office were seriously injured in a collision on Monday morning in Lubbock.
According to the Lubbock Police Department, the accident happened on Interstate 27 near 98th Street.
The deputies were helping a stranded motorist when a semi-truck collided with their patrol unit.
The deputies got trapped between their car and a guardrail.
Both deputies were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
One other person was injured in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
