Kaufman County Crash near Lake Sends Victims to Hospital

Mabank, Texas (January 3, 2018) – A passenger was rescued in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Kaufman County, officials said.
The accident took place on Tuesday, January 2, off US-175 and Mason Street in Mabank.
Authorities said the crash sent two vehicles down an embankment and one of the cars ended up partially in a lake off US-175 and Mason Street.
According to a report, one passenger was trapped inside a car and was rescued by Rescue crews.
The number of victims taken to a hospital and the extent of their injuries were not immediately provided.
The accident remained under an investigation.
