Woman Killed, 2 Injured in Head-On Crash on US 90 in Jefferson County

Woman Dies in Jefferson County Car Accident on US 90

Jefferson county, Texas (August 19, 2018) – A woman was killed and two other people injured in a head-on collision in Jefferson County on Saturday night, according to the DPS.
The crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. August 18 on US Highway 90  west of Beaumont.
DPS said 38-year-old Gun Barrel City woman was driving a silver 2012 Kia passenger vehicle westbound on US Highway 90 when it collided head-on with an oncoming red 2012 Kia passenger vehicle driven by Jack Thode, 21, of Beaumont.
The female driver of the westbound vehicle was rushed to St. Elizabeth hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
Thode was also taken to St. Elizabeth with serious injuries. His passenger, a 21-year-old Beaumont woman, was also taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
