Woman Injured in 4-Vehicle Crash on Loop 322 at Hill Street Off-Ramp in Abilene

Abilene, Texas (May 12, 2018) – An Abilene woman was injured in a four-car accident on Loop 322 Friday night, police said.
The accident happened just before 11:00 p.m. Friday, May 11 on Loop 322 at the Hills Street off-ramp.
According to the police, a 16-year-old boy was driving a white 2002 Nissan Maxima eastbound on Loop 322 when he made a sharp movement and went across the grass median into westbound lanes at the Hills Street off-ramp.
The white car then crashed into a red Ford F-150 operated by a 30-year-old Abilene woman.
Moments after the initial crash, the F-150 spun around and was then struck by a silver Chevy pickup. The Maxima also crashed with a maroon 2006 Ford Fusion.
The 30-year-old woman was transported to Hendrick Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. As of 2:15 a.m. she was in critical condition, police said.
The 16-year-old boy was also transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The names of the victims have not been released pending identification and notification of family.
The westbound lanes of Loop 322 were shut down at the Hill Street off-ramp for several hours and were reopened around 2 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.

We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies.  While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
