Woman Dies in Denton Train Accident on Hickory Street

Denton, Texas (December 31, 2018) – A woman was struck and killed by a freight train on Sunday morning in Denton, according to the Denton Police Department.
The crash happened at about 11:55 a.m. December 30 on East Hickory Street.
Police said the woman went into the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and was hit by a BNSF train.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where she died of her injuries. Her identity was not immediately released.
The crash is under investigation.
