William Dewberry Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-20 in Sweetwater

William Dewberry ID’d as Man Killed in Sweetwater Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 20
Sweetwater, Texas (November 1, 2018) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the man who was killed early Wednesday morning in Sweetwater as William Lee Dewberry, 29,  of San Diego, California.
The deadly crash happened at about 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 31 on Interstate 20.
As per the DPS, Dewberry was walking along the westbound lanes of I-20 when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle, which was also heading westbound.
DPS said the vehicle might be a commercial vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene.
Dewberry was declared deceased at the scene and his body was transported to McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
The crash remains under investigation.
