Tyler Jones and Jon Harrison ID’d as Two Injured in Lubbock Crash at 130th Street and Upland Avenue
Lubbock, Texas(August 1, 2018) – The two people who were injured Monday evening in a two-vehicle collision in South Lubbock have been identified as Tyler Jones, 23, and Jon Harrison, 46, a local news source reported.
The crash happened at around 4:40 p.m. July 30, at the intersection of 130th Street and Upland Avenue.
Reportedly, Jones was heading northbound on Upland Avenue in a car while at the same time Harrison was driving a pickup truck eastbound on 130th Street. The two vehicles then collided at the intersection.
Police said Harrison was injured and was taken to University Medical Center where he was treated and released. Jones was also taken to UMC with serious injuries where he remains at the hospital as of Tuesday morning, July 31.
Both 130th Street and Upland Avenue were closed for several hours as authorities investigated the crash and crews cleared the scene.
Lubbock Police Department is investigating the crash.
