Thomas Emerson Killed, Kristin Hogue and 2 Children Hurt in Crash on IH-20 in Harrison County
Harrison County, Texas (August 27, 2018) – A man was killed in a crash that left a woman and two children hospitalized early Sunday morning in Harrison County, according to the DPS.
The crash took place at around 12:57 a.m. on Sunday, August 26 on IH-20.
DPS said Thomas James Emerson, 58, of Homer, LA, was driving a 2008 Toyota Corolla westbound in the eastbound lanes on IH-20 when he collided head-on with an oncoming 2016 Honda Pilot, driven by Kristin Holly Hogue, 33, of Bossier City, LA.
Emerson died at the scene of the crash.
Hogue was transported to Christus Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler with critical injuries. Two children aged 7 and 2, were passengers in the Honda and were transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center-Longview. The two were both said to be in stable condition.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
