Roberto Rubio Killed in Martin County Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 829 and CR 3400
Martin County, Texas – A Plainview man was killed early Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Martin County, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly crash occurred around 5:40 a.m., May 20, in the area of FM 829 and CR 3400.
DPS said a GMC Sierra driven by 41-year-old Roberto Rubio, of Plainview was traveling southbound on FM 829 while 26-year-old Devontrell Rimmer, of Mississippi, was driving a semi-truck eastbound on CR 3400.
Rimmer disregarded a stop sign and crashed into the GMC.
Rubio, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rimmer was uninjured in the crash.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
