Pedestrian Struck, Injured by Vehicle on Highway 181 in San Antonio

Woman Hospitalized after San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Highway 181

San Antonio, Texas (August 1, 2018) – A local woman was hospitalized after she was struck by a pickup truck Wednesday night in San Antonio, according to police.
The crash was reported at around midnight in the 11700 block of Highway 181 on the city’s far Southeast Side.
Police said the pickup truck was heading northbound when it struck the woman who was walking in the street. The driver of the pickup was unable to avoid her.
The driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
The woman was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Her name and condition were not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
