Pedestrian Hit, Killed by 18-Wheeler on IH 14 in Bell County
Man Killed in Bell County Pedestrian Accident on IH 14 near Belton
Bell County, Texas (February 3, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by an 18-wheeler Monday morning in Bell County, west of Belton, according to the DPS.
The accident happened in the westbound lanes of IH 14.
DPS said the man was walking westbound in the lane of travel on the highway when a passing 18-wheeler hit him.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver stopped and cooperated with the investigators.
Motorists traveling westbound on the highway were urged to seek alternate routes.
Westbound traffic was diverted to FM 2410 and FM 439.
The DPS troopers are investigating the crash.
