Pedestrian, 35, Killed In Crash at 11800 Hempstead Road
Houston, Texas (January 16, 2018) – A pedestrian was fatally struck at 11800 Hempstead Road Monday morning, according to HPD.
The deadly collision took place at around 9 p.m. Monday, January 15, at 11800 Hempstead Road.
According to a news release from HPD, a 35-year-old man was walking across lanes of traffic at 11800 Hempstead Road when he was hit by a silver Nissan Titan pickup truck.
Witnesses said that many vehicles tried to avoid hitting the pedestrian before he was struck by the pickup truck.
The victim was declared deceased at the incident scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics, and the driver stayed at the site of the accident for an investigation.
Further details regarding the identity of the man were not immediately provided.
No charges were filed following the crash.
