One Struck, Injured by Car at Railroad Yard in Amarillo
Amarillo, Texas (July 22, 2018) – A person was struck and injured by a car on Friday in Amarillo, according to authorities.
The accident happened on July 20, at the BNSF Railroad yard.
Officials said the person was hit by a car which was backing up. It was unclear whether the vehicle was exiting or entering the railroad property.
Fire crews and police officers responded to the scene and transported the victim who had suffered non-life threatening injuries to the hospital.
The driver of the involved car was uninjured.
An investigation is ongoing.
