Officer Injured in Stonewall Parkway Crash near I-10

San Antonio, Texas (November 18, 2017) – According to San Antonio Police Department, an officer was transported to a hospital after a collision with drunk driver early Friday morning on the Northwest Side.
The collision happened on Friday, November 17, on Stonewall Parkway near I-10.
Authorities said the officer was operating a cruiser down Stonewall Parkway near I-10 when another vehicle drove through a red traffic light, hitting the police officer’s cruiser shortly after midnight.
The officer was transported to University Hospital for medical attention while the driver of the other vehicle was taken into custody, police said.
According to a report, the female driver was later released and cited for driving under influence of alcohol.
