Nedra Parham Smith Killed, Oben Edbe Injured in Anderson County Two-Vehicle on FM 3224

Anderson County, Texas (January 17, 2020) – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Anderson County near Palestine, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash took place at about 5:43 p.m. January 16, on Farm-to-Market 3224.

DPS said Nedra Parham Smith, 77, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on a private drive with the intention of crossing FM 3224 when she was hit by a northbound 2013 Ford F-150 driven by Oben Edbe, 55.

Smith was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Edbe was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
