Houston, Texas (October 4, 2018) – A motorcyclist was killed early Thursday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Houston, according to the authorities.
The accident happened at an unspecified time on Interstate 45 on-ramp near FM 1960.
Authorities said the motorcyclist was entering the freeway when they were involved in the collision with a vehicle which then fled the scene.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are searching for a newer black GMC Terrain or similar SUV with damage that was involved in the accident.
The accident partially blocked the southbound lanes of the freeway for several hours.
As of 6:00 a.m. the southbound frontage road and an entrance ramp remained closed.
