Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Loop 410 in San Antonio

Man Injured in San Antonio Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 410 near Somerset Road.

San Antonio, Texas (July 12, 2019) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday morning in San Antonio, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident occurred on Thursday, July 11, on Interstate 410 near Somerset Road.

Police said a tractor-trailer hauling concrete rocks and debris was heading westbound on the interstate when it lost control and spilled its load onto the highway.

The debris caused traffic to stop.

A man riding a motorcycle couldn’t stop in time and crashed into a stopped vehicle in front of him.

An off-duty Bexar County sheriff’s deputy attempted to resuscitate the rider but he sadly succumbed to his injuries.

The truck driver was taken to a San Antonio hospital for treatment.

The westbound main and frontage road lanes were closed for several hours following the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
