Michael Wheeler Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Texas 199 in Parker County

Michael Wheeler ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Parker County Crash on Texas 199 near Big Salty Road
Parker County, Texas (October 9, 2018) – The motorcyclist who was killed Saturday morning in a traffic collision in Parker County has been identified as Michael Wheeler, 55, of Paradise, according to a statement released by Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The deadly accident occurred at about 10:15 a.m. Saturday, October 6 on Texas 199, just east of Big Salty Road and just south of the Wise/Parker County line near Springtown.
According to the DPS, Stephanie Wells, 39, of Springtown, was driving a 2000 Honda passenger car eastbound on Texas 199 when they tried to turn into a driveway but failed to yield the right of way to a 2017 Yamaha motorcycle operated by Wheeler, who was traveling westbound.
Wheeler took evasive action to avoid the Honda but hit the right rear of the vehicle.
Wheeler was declared dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported in the crash. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
