Palestine Man Michael McClure Dies in Smith County Crash on Highway 155 near FM 2661

Smith, Texas (November 13, 2018) – A man from Palestine was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday night in Smith County, according to the authorities.
The crash took place at around 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11 on Highway 155 near FM 2661.
DPS said Michael Timothy McClure, 65, of Palestine, was trying to remove debris from the roadway when he was hit by a 2012 Nissan Versa.
McClure died of his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, Aaron-Nicole Rodriguez, 32, of Frankston, was unhurt.
The DPS is conducting an investigation into the accident.
