Driver Mathew Keaton killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Austin

Austin, Texas (January 10, 2018) – One man was killed in a two-vehicle Crash in Austin Friday morning, according to Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash occurred at about 5:17 a.m. Friday, January 5, at US Highway 183 and Farm to Market Road 973.
According to DPS, a man driving northbound on US 183 failed to yield the right of way and pulled into a gas station parking lot when he struck the right side of a car driven by Matthew Scott Keaton.
As per the report, both vehicles came to rest in the right ditch of US 183. Keaton was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt. He was taken to hospital by Austin-Travis County EMS where he was pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation.
