Matthew Encinias Dies in Motorcycle Accident on FM 119 in Moore County
Moore County, TX – A Dumas man was killed early Thursday morning in a motorcycle accident in Moore County, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly accident happened around 6:32 a.m. on May 14 on FM 119 southwest of Sunray.
DPS said a 2018 Dodge Ram 3500 was traveling northbound while a 2025 CFMOTO-675 motorcycle was traveling southbound.
The Dodge driver failed to yield the right of way while turning left into a business and struck the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, 23-year-old Matthew Encinias of Dumas, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The Dodge driver was uninjured in the accident and was wearing a seatbelt.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
