Man on Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Vehicle on Rigsby Avenue in San Antonio

Man Hospitalized after San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Rigsby Avenue

San Antonio, Texas (September 2, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle while on a wheelchair in San Antonio’s Southeast Side on Saturday night.
The authorities responded at around 10:30 p.m. September 1 to the incident in the 4500 block of Rigsby Avenue.
San Antonio police said a man riding on a motorized wheelchair was attempting to cross the street when a vehicle clipped the wheelchair, ejecting the man onto the roadway.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the crash.
The San Antonio Police Department is investigating the crash.
