One Hospitalized after Austin Scooter Accident near Springdale Road and East 7th Street
Austin, Texas (December 28, 2018) – A man was injured early Wednesday morning in a DUI scooter accident near an east Austin intersection, according to the police.
The accident happened at about 1:00 a.m. December 26, near the intersection of Springdale Road and East 7th Street.
Police said the man was riding a scooter when he was hit by an alleged drunk driver who also didn’t have a valid license.
The rider was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The car driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
An investigation is underway.
