Man Killed in Gulf Freeway Pedestrian Crash in Houston

Houston, Texas (May 31, 2018) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a pickup truck late Wednesday night in Houston, the Houston Police Department reported.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident occurred at around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, on the Gulf Freeway at Dixie Farm Road.
HPD said a man was attempting to cross the freeway when a passing truck struck him.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck had attempted to swerve to avoid the pedestrian but ended up clipping him, HPD said.
The Houston Police Department is looking into the incident.
