Man Fatally Hit by Vehicle on US 287 in Anderson County

41-Year-Old Man Dies in Anderson County Pedestrian Crash on US 287

Anderson County, Texas (December 6, 2018) – A 41-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Thursday morning in Anderson County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The accident occurred at about 5:45 a.m. on US Highway 287, approximately 5 miles north of Elkhart.
DPS said a car traveling southbound on US 287 struck a man who was walking in the southbound lane of the highway.
According to the report, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The DPS is investigating the incident.
