Midland, TX – A man was killed on Wednesday in a dirt bike accident in Midland, according to the police.
The deadly accident occurred on May 13 at the intersection of Raymond and Cedar Springs.
A Nissan Murano was traveling westbound on Howard Street and stopped at a red light before traveling through the intersection. It crossed Raymond Street into the block of Cedar Springs and was struck by a southbound non-street-legal dirt bike.
The driver of the dirt bike, 21-year-old Luke Quentin Palacios, was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
The police are investigating the accident.
Midland, TX. – A 21-year-old man riding a dirt bike died in a crash on Wednesday night in Midland.
According to the Midland Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Raymond Road and Cedar Springs Drive at around 10:42 p.m.
The man was riding a 2023 Yamaha YZ250FX dirt bike southbound on Raymond Street at a high rate of speed when he collided with a 2006 Nissan Murano.
The 21-year-old man was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Police suspect speed was a factor in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
