Ludivina Martin Dies in Hit-And-Run Crash on SL 143 in Ochiltree County
Ochiltree County, Texas (October 5, 2018) – A woman was struck and killed by at least two vehicles with one driver fleeing the scene after the incident on Thursday night in Ochiltree County.
According to the DPS, the crash took place at around 9:40 p.m. October 4 on State Loop 143, approximately one mile northeast of Perryton.
DPS said Ludivina Martin, 56, of Perryton, was walking in a lane of travel when she was hit by a westbound vehicle. The driver of that vehicle fled the scene after the incident.
The impact of the crash threw Martin into the eastbound side, where she was hit by a Dodge pickup truck.
Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and contacted the authorities.
The fatal crash remained under investigation.
