Larece Perry Dies after 2-Car Crash in Polk County
Polk County, Texas (May 26, 2018) – A second person has died after being involved in a two-car collision Friday in Polk County.
The deadly crash occurred on U.S. Highway 59 about two miles north of Corrigan on Friday, May 4.
Javan Bluford, 20, of San Augustine, was driving a 2003 Ford pickup northbound on U.S. Highway 59 when the pickup reportedly hydroplaned and slid through the grass median and crashed into a southbound 2013 Hyundai passenger car, driven by Larece Perry, 44, of Cold Spring.
Perry died at ETMC Tyler on May 19. A passenger in Perry’s car, Jeremy Jones, 36, of Houston, died at the site of the crash.
Bluford was transported to CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial Hospital in Livingston with unspecified injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes. No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies. While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
