Kyle Perry Killed in Motorcycle Crash on IH-10 in San Antonio

65-Year-Old Kyle Perry Killed in San Antonio Motorcycle Accident on IH-10 near Foster Road

San Antonio, Texas (March 5, 2020) – The motorcyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run crash Monday evening in San Antonio has been identified as Kyle Perry, 65, according to the San Antonio police.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. March 2, on IH-10 near Foster Road.

Police said a Freightliner truck tractor with an attached flatbed trailer was heading eastbound and was traveling at a speed too fast for conditions due to traffic on the roadway.

The semi-truck driver attempted to brake but ended up hitting an eastbound motorcycle ridden by Perry.

Three other cars and a motorcycle were also involved in the crash. One of the cars, a Jeep Cherokee, rolled over.

The truck jack-knifed, blocking the eastbound traffic. The driver jumped out of the cab and fled the scene.

Perry was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are looking for the semi-truck driver who is facing charges of failure to stop and render aid, resulting in death and multiple charges of failure to stop and render aid-moving.

The crash remains under investigation.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Kyle Perry.

Commercial trucks are known to cause over 90% of accidents in Houston. These truck drivers must understand that their actions majorly contribute to most of the accidents on the roads. It is also important for others on the same roads with truck drivers to understand that maximum precaution should be taken while driving near trucks. While small mistakes like ignoring the turn signal prior to turning may cause accidents, major causes of these accidents are rooted in other factors like exhaustion on the part of truck drivers. If the reasons for the crash are anchored to the failure of following the right turn or driving at a speed that is not legally recommended, a wrongful death lawyer will be useful in such scenarios.

If you have lost a loved one in an accident with a huge truck, it is advisable to get a lawyer who will facilitate the process of compensation.
