Sullivan City Man Killed in Mission Collision on North Shary Road

Mission, Texas (January 31, 2018) —  Mission Police have identified a motorcyclist who was fatally injured in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Mission as 20-year-old Kevin Chavana of Sullivan City.
The accident took place at around 1:39 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, in the 800 block of North Shary Road in Mission.
According to investigators report, Chavana was driving his motorcycle southbound when he was hit by a small box truck that was pulling out of a private way to turn north on Shary Road.
The rider was taken to McAllen Medical Center where he was later declared deceased, authorities said.
Chavana was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, Mission police said.
An investigation into the fatal accident is ongoing.
