Julia Vasquez and Mayra Vasquez 3 Killed in Maverick County Crash
Maverick County, Texas (December 28, 2017) – Three people died in a crash in Maverick County early Tuesday morning, officials said.
The crash occurred around 11:45 p.m. Monday, December 26, on FM 481 at Maverick and Zavala County lines.
Officials said the crash that seemed to be a head-on collision killed Julia Vasquez, Mayra Vasquez, both from Uvalde, and a third person who was not identified immediately.
The Vasquezes were traveling in one vehicle, and the other 27-year-old person was in the second vehicle.
No further information regarding the incident was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
