Rider Hospitalized in Collision at Congress Avenue and Stassney Lane

Austin, Texas (January 23, 2018) – An Avid motorcyclist was seriously injured following a hit-and-run collision early Sunday morning south Austin, as per a news release from Austin police officers.
The accident took place at around 2:08 a.m. Sunday, January 21, at Congress Avenue and Stassney Lane.
According to the Austin police officers, Josh Finney, 25, was driving his motorbike north on South Congress Avenue when a black Lexus four-door new model, driven south on Congress Avenue turned left onto Stassney lane and ran over Finney.
Shortly after, another vehicle also struck Finney’s bike, but not Finney.
Both drivers fled the scene, police said.
Finney suffered injuries including a broken pelvis and broken rib bones, sling lung collapse and is facing a lengthy recovery of about six months after undergoing pelvis surgery, police said.
