Jesus Vega Killed in Fabens Bicycle-Train Crash
Fabens, Texas – A bicyclist was fatally hit by a train on Sunday in Fabens, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s officials.
The deadly accident happened on May 12.
Officials said 45-year-old Jesus Vega was riding his bicycle when he crossed the train tracks while the crossing gates were down and was struck by an Amtrak train.
Vega was killed in the crash.
No train passengers or staff members on the train were injured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
