Jeremy Owens Struck and Killed by Union Pacific Train near Lantrip Street in Kilgore
Kilgore, Texas (July 2, 2018) – A man was hit and killed by a Union Pacific train on Sunday evening in Kilgore, according to the authorities.
The crash occurred at about 5 p.m. July 1 near the Lantrip Street crossing on the train tracks.
Police said the victim, identified as Jeremy Nathan Owens, 38, of Kilgore, was walking on the tracks for unknown reasons when he was struck by the eastbound train.
Owens was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remained under investigation.
