Israel Garcia Identified as Man Killed in Socorro Train Crash near Nevarez and Moon Roads

Socorro, Texas (December 14, 2018) – The authorities have identified a man who was hit and killed by a train on Tuesday afternoon in Socorro.
Israel Ornelas Garcia, 52, died in the accident that occurred at about 2:46 p.m. December 14 near  Nevarez and Moon roads, according to the police.
It’s unclear what Garcia was doing on the tracks when he was hit.
Police said the victim died at the scene of the crash.
There were no other injuries reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
