Hector Villareal-Castaneda Fatal Crash at Idalou Road and East Broadway in Lubbock

Hector Villareal-Castaneda Killed, Keely Walker Arrested after Lubbock Crash at Idalou Road and East Broadway  

Lubbock, Texas (November 7, 2018) – The man who was killed in a fatal vehicle collision that left one person arrested on Tuesday evening in Lubbock has been identified.
Hector Villareal-Castaneda, 52, died in the crash that occurred at around 5 p.m. November 6 at Idalou Road and East Broadway .
According to Lubbock police, Villareal-Castaneda was driving a Chevy Pickup truck when he was involved in a crash with a Jeep Wrangler driven by Keely Walker, 21. A preliminary investigation indicated that Walker was traveling eastbound on East Broadway when she failed to stop for a red light and collided with Villareal-Castaneda, who was heading north on Idalou Road.
Villareal-Castaneda was taken to University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Walker was taken into custody on charges of intoxication manslaughter.
The police are investigating the accident.
