Gizelle Solorio Killed in Sealy Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

Sealy, Texas (December 20, 2019) – An off-duty Houston police officer was killed Thursday morning in a wrong-way crash, 10 miles east of Sealy, according to the police.

The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. December 19, on I-10.

DPS said Gizelle Solorio, 32, of Katy, was driving a Toyota Tacoma the wrong way in the westbound lanes when she collided with a 2018 Kenworth truck driven by Guy Pearson, 65, of La Feria, Texas.

Solorio was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pearson was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
