Elecia Dudley, Daniel Offield Injured in Crash on East Marshall Avenue and North Eastman Road in Longview
Longview, Texas (August 18, 2018) – Two drivers were injured when their vehicles collided on Friday night at an intersection in Longview.
According to the Longview Police Department, the crash took place shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, August 17, at the intersection of East Marshall Avenue and North Eastman Road.
Police said Daniel Wayne Offield, 42, of Hallsville, was traveling eastbound on Marshall Avenue when he failed to stop for a red light and collided with a vehicle driven by Elecia Dudley, 42, of Longview.
The impact caused Offield’s vehicle to flip, ejecting him as he was not wearing a safety belt.
Offield was flown to Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler with critical injuries.
Dudley was treated and released at the hospital.
Police said Offield was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed and was under the influence of alcohol.
The authorities are investigating the crash.
