One Killed in Webb County Two-Vehicle Crash on Texas Highway 359
Webb County, Texas (October 10, 2018) – One person was killed Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash on a highway in Webb County, according to the Texas troopers.
The fatal crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m. October 9, on Texas Highway 359, east of Oilton.
DPS said a 2013 Hyundai Veloster was heading northbound on Texas Highway 359 when for unknown reasons it drove into the wrong lane and hit a westbound tractor-trailer.
The Hyundai driver died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
The tractor-trailer driver was transported to Laredo Medical Center with a possible injury.
The crash closed Texas 359 east of the Border Patrol checkpoint for an unknown period.
The troopers are investigating the crash.
