Man Injured in Corpus Christi Car Crash on U.S. 181

Corpus Christi, Texas (June 11, 2018) – A man was injured in a crash in Corpus Christi Sunday afternoon, according to a local news source.
The collision occurred just after 12:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10 along the northbound lanes of U.S. 181.
According to police, a pickup truck was traveling northbound when it attempted to pass up an 18-wheeler that was getting on the roadway.
The operator of the truck then entered the right lane and cut off the 18 –wheeler causing the truck to flip over and land upside down.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated the driver of the truck from the wreckage. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
