Amarillo, Texas (December 18, 2018) – The man who was killed Monday afternoon in a motorcycle accident on an Amarillo highway has been identified as David Mills, 63, of Stinnett, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety news release.
The deadly accident took place at about 4:30 p.m. December 17, on State Highway 136, near Farm-to-Market Road 1559, about 2 miles north of Borger.
DPS said Mills was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on the highway while a 2012 Ford F350 driven by Charley Murley, 34, also of Stinnett, was stopped at the stop sign on Farm-to-Market Road 1559.
Murley then made a left turn onto the highway and failed to yield right of way to Mills.
