David Keeling and Two Others Injured in Crash at I-27 and County Road 275 in Abernathy

Abernathy, Texas (February 1, 2018) – A collision involving three vehicles north of Abernathy Wednesday afternoon left three people with injuries.
The accident took place at around 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at Interstate 27 and County Road 275 north of Abernathy.
Authorities said a crane semi-truck, driven by David Keeling, 43, Wolfforth, had a blowout, lost control and hit the pillar of the overpass of CR 275. The semi then proceeded into the northbound lanes and hit another semi and a pickup truck.
Keeling and drivers of the other semi and the pickup, Roland Aguillon, 54, and Tommie Scott, 63, of Plainview, respectively, were taken to University Medical Center by an ambulance.
The extent of the injuries was not immediately known, authorities said.
An investigation into the crash is still underway.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes.  No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies.  While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
