San Antonio, TX – The woman who was hit and killed by an Uber Saturday afternoon in San Antonio’s Northwest Side has been identified as Darlene Ibarra, 35, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened around 1:09 p.m. on March 14 in the area of West Quill Drive and Bandera Road.
Police said an Uber was traveling eastbound on Quill Drive when it attempted to turn left onto Bandera. The driver accidentally accelerated and hit Ibarra, who was standing at the corner with an advertisement sign.
Ibarra was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Uber driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The police are investigating the accident.
